MRC excels in national and international multimodal transportation planning and forecasting.

MRC has carried out many long range strategic policy and transportation planning studies from local area studies, to municipal Transportation Master Plans to transportation planning for large areas of Ontario. MRC is also recognized for its extensive Environmental Assessment (EA) expertise, having developed background policy documents and carried out many road and transit individual and Class EAs. MRC prepared the 1992 Provincial Highways Class EA parent document for the Ministry of Transporation of Ontario (MTO), the 2000 Municipal Class EA parent document for municipal roads, water and wastewater on behalf of the Municipal Engineers Association and the Ontario Ministry of the Environment (MOE) and is presently updating that document to include Transit. MRC also has a thorough understanding of the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act (CEAA) requirements.
